Sewing classes

The first thing we'll do is chat to you about your idea - by phone, WhatsApp or email - whichever is easiest for you. 

We'll share ideas and examples with you. And if you need help visualising your design we'll discuss shapes and functions and then send you some images to look at.

We may even suggest how we could adapt a pattern to better suit your needs. 

As we start to work up your design, you'll get the lowdown on which ingredients will work best. 

We'll also have a chat about colour preferences and styles: modern, traditional, edgy, floral, animal, Scandi, neutral...the world is your design oyster. 

Sometimes having to make too many decisions can be really overwhelming so we're always careful in helping customers through that process.

Once we've agreed the key design elements with you we will put together a quote so that you can be sure of the total cost of the item. No one likes surprises when it comes to money! 

We'll also chat to you about lead times. Sometimes this can be a week, sometimes a month or more - depending on the item, availability of materials and our waiting list. Handmade happiness can take time - but we always make sure we are realistic with you from the very start.

It's only at this stage, once you are confident that you want to proceed, that we'll ask for a deposit. 

Normally this is 50% of the total cost of the item (not including any applicable postage costs). Once you've paid your deposit we'll start to create your custom item(s). 

If you'd like to see photos of your design in the making we love sending updates.
 

When your order is finished (yay) and ready to be posted, we'll get back in touch to request the remaining 50% of the balance (plus postage for orders under £70).

And then? All we ask is for you to enjoy your custom item!  We'd love to have your feedback and any photos of you with your new parcel of happiness!
